I just got my windows tinted and the tint guy removed the high mount brake light to do the job. A couple days later I notice this light no longer works and check under the rear dash. Sure enough, it's not connected. The bulb is there, but the closest wires are a black and a green which go into a plastic harness (wrapped in styrofoam) which go back to a black and green on the other harness piece, i.e., I see no power cord for the brake light. What did this guy do with the wires/harness? Thanks for any help.

Was the light working before?

The factory spoiler has the third brake light. This prohibits the rear window brake light from functioning so that you don't have 4 brake lights going off every time.

I don't know, joe, if the light was working before. It does make sense that it would be either/or with the spoiler lights (which do work) and the high mount light. I just assumed it was working prior to the window tint, but perhaps it wasn't. Thanks for the help.

My CL has the spoiler and it did not have the window mount light connected. the way Acura has it set up is you get one or the other, so I just spliced into the wires and hooked up my 3rd brake light.
