Im going to buy them. I want them now, but no one carries them locally. So. im here to ask. who did you buy them from, how much did you buy them for, how long did you have them for, cons? blah blah blah. I want a plug and play kit. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, since im getting them, clearing up the headlights and blacking them out.

I picked up mine on ebay for 250. The seller has 100% positive feedback. There's tons of kit there and they're cheaper than any store. Have had them on for about a month. No problems yet. Great upgrade. I got a plug and play and it was simple to install. Hardest part was figuring out where to mount it. The brand was PROMAX (5000k).

Definately worth the money. They're much brighter than the shitty stock ones.

Good luck

i love mine, they use all philips bulbs and ballasts. Ive had my 4300k kit from them for a year and a half. I would recommend them to anyone, it took longer than expected for them to arrive, but the product is top notch!

what color temp did you buy?
I am considering 4 or 5 K. Which is the best combination of light output and color?
I don't like it too blue.

Haha, thats terrible... HIDs should outlast the vehicle for the most part. My neighbor has a 99 TL with the bulbs from the factory still in it, car has 270kmi on it and they still work great (although they are getting rather pink-ish).

99% of HID "kits" are garbage... made from cheap parts and do not last. Besides the fact that you'll blind oncomming traffic and you'll never come close to an OEM HID projector or reflector setup.

If you want the HID color, stick with "blue" halogen bulbs... if you want HID performance go with a OEM HID projector retrofit.

I've tried about 4 different suppliers and KAIXEN is my 5th attempt and I couldn't be happier with their product. They are the best so far, hands down on: price, quality, durability, fitment, warranty, and even packaging. $305 shipped on a complete HID kit.

There's lots of glare when we install our HID's because our headlights were never meant to take that much light anywhere.. Blackhousing the headlights probably fix that though.

I had the same question...They say that the 4300K are white with a yellowish hue and the 5000K are white with a blue hue. The yellow part scared me so I went with the 5000K. They look nice...i wouldn't really say they're blue. Definately crispy white.

NOT TRUE...I had my chick take my car out and I drove in front of her. They don't blind you at all...all they do is look sexy. They really make the car look classy.

i had some HID's years back, they were 6500K i think, white with a hue of purple... man they were sick... everyone jocked my....

I have been looking to buy another pair of bulbs, but the whole setup is very cheap...i kind of want to buy the whole set again.

For me i love the purple look, i see some pics of hid with a retarded level of K, some like 9k-10k... but it seems as though the light output really takes a toll. so i thionk i might grab a pair of 6k.
any of you have any thought of the high K hid's?

i noticed the color temp goes by brand of hid.some kit's have a 10k(super blue).that others don't.

based on glare that pic was before blackhousings, and even then i've also drove behind/on the side of,and passed my car on the oppisite side road i don't get blinded, nor do i get highbeamed.the beam is straight, and no light "glares" anywhere than where it's suppose to.if i park next to a stock car with hid's(no projectors) my pattern/range/section of light is basically the same.but i give you that with projectors it is more functional due to the dispersal of the light (just don't like the way it looks).alot of my friendes got after market kit on the only one that blinds is my boy's civic that he ghetto installed and shines in the trees.

"everyone jocked my...." huh? lol

higher the K the more color but loss of output.

4300k-5500k is good, maybe 6000k

anything higher is :ghey:
