Hey, I tried searching for this already, but wasnt very succesful either that or i just didnt search deep enough...i have a 3.0 and i was wondering if anyone could post some pics of their engine bay's with HIDs x.x i kinda wanna know where i should mount the balasts....our engines are fatty and dont leave room for any thing x.x neways thanks in advance for any info =D

one is mounted to the batt.(two sided tape)stock airbox is bulky as fuck, my aem cai freed up alot of room for me. the other one is mounted under that plastic cover in front af the abs relay/fuses,i dremeled out a path in the plastic for the thick ass wire from the ballast.

 

your 16 years old, just think in two years, you'll be asking us how and where to mount a real live woman. hang in there rawbeanz

 

there is a post in the DIY section about installing HIDs by mulk. he touches a little on where to mount the ballasts and has pictures too. just go to DIY and filter the page to show the last year's worth of posts.

 

Dude, either mount them on the sides, or mount them directly behind the head lights, there's room both places. Depends on if you have an intake like percy said

 

just mount them wherever you think is okay =)

 

lol i dont even have them yet x.x i just dunno where i would mount it...yea i do have an intake..but its not a CAI its a short ram lol so i think i can mout the left one there...i was just wondering if it would be a bad idea to mount the ballast on plastic? or would it be better to mount it on metal??
