Tw1112- Yeah, I thought they were Osram ballasts, but apparantly they switched ballast manufacturer's since the last time I've seen them. I think Hella ballasts are probably better though, since they are made in Germany.

I'm packing them tonight and will ship them tomorrow to those who havent gotten them yet.

Another group buy? Hmmm.... I'd have to think about it. :P

3pointzero is the man! he personally delivered my HIDs today, unfortunately i haven't been able install them!!! i'll try and install them tomorrow and post some pics. you tha man!

I picked mine up before he went on vacation, hence the thread with installation and pictures. I love my lights, I hope others can take advantage of an opportunity like this when it presents itself again.

I truly hope that 3pointzero is nice enough to arrange for another group buy, I think he'll get more than the 5 minimum needed to keep the costs low.

CLTECH, VitaminCL and the others, just post pics as you get them installed, look at ther thread for help, and if you get stumped, PM me or Dustbuster4 for help.

 

just got them in! took about 20-30 minutes...didn't really time myself...that was pretty easy....and these things are BAD ASS!!!!! they are purplish/white exactly the way i wanted them to be. i'm just hoping that i wont blind people on the other side of the road. i also love the fact that the lights turn on instantly and dont slowly turn on the way that normal halogen bulbs do. if you're able to and haven't yet, GET THESE HIDS!!!!

 

Sorry I should have made it clearer...Hella ballasts are better than osrams IMO because like you said, they are made in Germany and I also believe they are the manuf. for philips. So....yeah you are getting some great ones there! Hope you can arrange for another group buy. I think there are more interested buyers now that there are pics and stuff Good job!

PS - How do you like you HIDs?? I think everyone forgot that this started because you were looking into getting a set yourself!

Actually, I haven't had time to put them in yet! They are still sitting in a box in my room. Anyways, VitaminCL, I forgot to bring your phone number with me when I tried to ship it Monday and UPS does not allow international shipments w/o phone numbers, so I am bringing your phone number back there tomorrow. They are making me fill out customs declarations and all this other paperwork- like hell trying to ship these things.

Al- I was able to ship yours Monday, you should have it Thursday latest. Your tracking number is in the glove compartment of my car. i'll email u it later.

 

Yeah I hate the customs thing. Make sure you write that it is a gift and that it was not of any commercial value. That's how I got astros headlight assembly to him without customs.

 

3point, I really appreciate the time you've taken to put this thing together Would you still consider doing another group buy?
Hopefully it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for you. I bet it'll be worth the wait for me, however
