does anyone have an hid kit installed on there car with out a retro-projector mod? With a 4000k is close to oem white. but with that 6300k will it just spead light like crazy and blind everyone?

I got 8000k jus thrown in there looks fine light is kinda spread out but i get compliments all the time and it looks good.

I've got a HID kit and I think they are 6000k not sure though. I haven't been blinding to many people, but I have adjusted the angle of the lights down a bit. I mean they are bright and some people thing they are too much but screw, I say they are just jealous.

I've got HID's, one has a blown ballast. Let me tell you, it is a bitch to find one ballast.

4100/4300k = stockish color
5000k = best color/output combo
6000k = gets toward blue kinda
8000k = gets toward purple
12000k = just retarded

5000k will look fine.....wont blind no one i dont think

IMO I have 8000k and I wouldn't recommend them unless you want looks more then function. I gotta admit a good halogen setup can see better then my 8000k setup but I do make everyone's lights look piss yellow!

as long as your not always flashing your lights they should last a long time.........also depends on the manfacturer
