Hey, Need help on Tranny...
Well like the title says, my CL that I bought 6 months ago... finally started to trip on me and well it needs a tranny and from what the tranny people are saying it that all the other v6 CL/TL, 98-02 Accords and V6 Odessy is doing the same thing or going to do the same thing... and so my question is, I love my CL and wanna drive it til it fall a part... the price quote for a new rebuild tranny and install is around $2400 and that is alot more than I paid for my CL to begin with... and so I was wondering if there a better place to go and get one or should I start parting it out... the motor is great... never a problem... yet...
let me know your thoughts...

Ebay, junkyard, with these trannies you're really better off rebuilding the internals

since this is a tranny thread let me add my question to this.....
what are the symptoms of an Automatic tranny acting up... i mean what should I be looking for to realise that my tranny is going bye bye......and that I may need to be looking out for tranny rebuild.....
I will be locking in 200k miles today on my way back home....real mile stone for me........feel great .........TOTAL VALUE for money...of course my wify bought this before we got married and she made a good choice over all...........lol.......I have put on it about 75k miles......and it is my baby now...she has a van to drive now........hehehehehe.........

sorry to jack the thread but does anyone know why my tranny would have ATF all over the the bottom of it? It doesn't seem to be a steady leak because i checked the dipstick and it seems fine. has anyone else had this prob?

You have a 2 piece casing on the outside of the tranny, and a gasket sealer holding the 2 pieces together, most likely that is leaking

Man don't part it out, I bet if you look hard enough you can find a rebuilt tranny for less than $800.00
Look for them on ebay.
