Help removing center console

Does anyone know how to remove the center console or get to the cig lighter? My friend twisted when they pulled their cell charger out of the lighter socket and the whole lighter thing came out. I asked the dealership to fix it and they said it would be around $90 to pull the console apart in order to put the lighter back in :ekk: Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks

A while back i scanned this for someone else. It's the instructions I got from a friend at a Honda Dealer on removing the Center consol to install the factory tape deck. Maybe it will help:

Easy.
1) Take out the armest ( 2 screws on the side, and 2 screws where the cd holders are.. you have to pull the holders off to see the screws)

2) take out the drink holder.. (3 screws)

3) take out the plastic panel under the steering wheel

4) unhook the glove compartment

5) pull out the ash try (1 or 2 screws in there)

6) take out the 6 visible screws in the corner.

7) now u can move the unit a bit... now you have to start unhooking the data socket, hazard lights, clock buttons, and cigarrette lighter clip (they're all in the back) take the hazardlight and clock button clips out first) for the data connector... just push it so it's not connected to the plastic anymroe.

Whoala.... done.... oh yea.. u have to disconnect either the shift knob or auto thing. Wow, I think I remembered every screw.... cool.
