Question Help pulling abs codes

Can anyone please tell me how to pull the abs codes on my 98 3.0cl? The abs light come on and will not go out. I am shure it has stored a code. I have heard that you can short out the service connector that is located under the glovebox and count the flashes of the abs light. I need to know if this is possible or will it mess up the abs computer.
Thanks, John

Did you check your braked fluid level. If it is low you will get an abs code.
