GOing for a paint job soon!

I need some ideas for some unique colors....

My friend that is hooking me up told me to get Pearl Black (Since he has White Pearl w/ blue tint) so we could park next to eachother and it'll look cool haha

He's hooking me up with a paint job for pretty cheap ($350 tops) since his friend has a shop that he would paint it at.

I myself, was thinking of that dark gray color:



Has that been done already? I dunno -_-

What recommendations do you guys have? I want something that looks nice, and that catches the eye :P

 

CLpower has a gunmetal grey from the ford colors i think

im going escalade pearl white myself, so that color is taken already, and 350 is a cheap paint job even if you get it at cost, what kind of paint are they using and how many coats and clear coats?

mines going to be 3 coats of paint and 5 of clear for that extra touch

 

CLpower has a dark grey colors...fords dark shadow i think...and katana has blue..........so...........i cant think..those are both bad ass colors......it all depends on your taste......IMO.....i say pink..j/k.....if i ever painted mine..it would stay silver but with a pearl in it......

 

heeeeelllll no that gray is nasty looking when it gets dirty even a little bit, my neighbor has a 6 that color. if you want a nice ass color, get mazda's sapphire mica blue. it was awesome on my miata, its shiny deep blue and at night when the light would hit it the edges would have a slight purple haze..........

 

EDIT: to my last post......i also have a fascination with green......so silver or green

I almost went with Boyd's red. that is a badass red.

 

NSX Yellow is hot

sup guys.. as soon as I get my frton air dam and rear lip I will get them installed and do a paint job.. I actually like the stock color of my car but i'm also still lookin at other colors.. i'm thinking about painting my car BLUE.. but DARK BLUE.. like almost black but not actually black..

 

Silver. Easy to take care of and it always looks clean. My next car for sure is going to be silver.

I did Fords Dark Shadow Grey Metallic. Looks hot, I'll get you some new pics after I take it back to the shop on saturday.


I came real close to getting Porsche's Slate Grey, but didn't want to spend extra on paint

the new vette red is tight, that's the color i'm gonna do in the future. so i got dibs on it..hahaha

 

are you going to paint under the hood? and in the door area?

If not i would go with a different shade of red, to keep the car looking consistent.

 

Shit brown with puke green pearl and a hint of corn yellow

chameleon shouldnt be on a cl...maybe a tahoe or escalade

if you got the money for it i think it looks hot on any car. And would look good on a cl, can someone photoshop cameleon on a cl.

 

YES!! I was seriously debating getting mine that color! GunMetal Lexus IS300...mmmmm

...or the new IS430 that is in the works would do as well

 

dont get me wrong...i love the color...IMO....i just think its meant for something like a lexus, or escalade...not a 2 door coupe

 

i got my color i'm doing mine but to many people might steal my idea but i'll say something like a metalic bronze or the gold off the top secret import cars

 

well I'm painting my car a ppg white with a custom gunmetal pearl to mtach the gunmetal rims

 

Stay away from the oranges cause i'm reserving that. Greens are always good and not very common, though they arn't really eyegrabbers. Yellows are too ricer for some people, and really don't look good on CLs. I would stick to either blue, white, silver, or grey of some sort.

Pearl Black or Silver with Pearl

My friend has a Pearl White with Blue tint on his 2.3.....he wanted me to get Pearl Black so that when we park next to eachother, it would look tight
