Unhappy help me!!!!

it's about to pour here in NJ and my dirver side window won't go up!!! the motor is working(i hear it for like 3 seconds) but the window doesnt move. its all the way down and i can't pull it up,its either jammed or i can't get enough force to pull it up. i dont want to keep hitting the switch and burn out the motor if its still good, can it just be off track?how do i get it back on?how do you test the switch?

sorry dude, but the grinding is the motor working, but your cables on the regulator came off. That means it's time for a new window regulator man

Nope, the motor/regulator is done, cooked, toast. You can really repair it, and it's not cause it came off the track. To get your window up, you're gonna have to pull the door panel off, and then push it up. Then stick something inside the door to keep it up. If you try to stick a wedge in between your window and the inside frame, you'll run the risk of fawking up your tint

Have fun

Sorry, but you've gotta expect some maintenance costs on a car that's 9 years old. If you're this upset over a $100 regulator, I'd hate to be around you when the timing belt and water pump need replacing.

The abs sensors are real finicky, I have replaced 3 wheel speed sensors, and a cv axle, and my light STILL comes on while driving, if yours went off, you should be fine.
