Angry Help installing new glass in side view mirror

I ordered the driver's side glass for my side view mirror from the Acura dealership but there must be a trick to attaching it. I gently pried the broken glass off and was successful. But the new one won't go on. I've pushed as hard as I can and can't get it to go on.

Anyone ever done this?

I was going to do this to mine, but not only was the glass broken, but the plastic connector/clip that holds the physical mirror to the motor was snapped also. Im curious what exactly you were able to order. was it just the glass? or was it the glass with the black plastic backing? have you looked at a parts diagram from acuraoemparts or anything? they sometimes are helpful

as far as I know it just snaps on, however it's only 3 bolts to remove the mirror, and it may make it a little easier to work on it

The glass comes with the plastic back that should snap right in. The pin knobs and holes look like they line up.

I'm 6' 4", 250 lbs, and a former bodybuilder, and I couldn't push it hard enough to snap in.
