Before I get started....I did a search for like 3 hours and I can't take it anymore. Can someone please tell me what transmission I can replace mine with. I have a 1997 Acura cl with a 3.0 vtech v6. I've looked and looked and some say that an accord transmission would work but I just need some help guys. I love my car and want keep it

^ It might fit, but I've heard of issues with the firewall being different. Your best option is to get your trans rebuilt

I WILL NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE FOLLOWING INFO:
'97 3.0 CL B7ZA
'98-'99 3.0 CL M7ZA
'98-'02 V6 Accord BAXA or B7XA
The accord uses and has the proper provisions for the ATGPS on the left side cover.
The '97 to '99 CL share the '94 to '97 Accord chassis, and do not have the room for a trans mounted ATGPS, so in the CL it was integrated into the shifter assembly.
The '98+ Accords have more room in the engine bay, and the left side cover on the trans is different, as well as the cover mounted ATGPS.
Do not buy a '97 to '99 3.0CL transmission and expect it to work in your Accord. It will bolt up to the J30, but your ECU will not know what gear you are in. If you want to swap parts, 99% of the internals are the same.
