alright im drivin on I-10 headed home from this chick house this morning when a white G35 flies bye me. i was doin 75, i punch it(NOT TO RACE HIM JUST GOT TIRED OF SITTIN IN SLOW TRAFFIC) and my rpms jump all the way to redline! like i was in to low of a gear i felt the tranny drop down into what i thought was third . then the rpms fall back down were they are suppose to be with it at WOT ran it all the way through third and let off. i run my car probably 2 times a day but just through 1st and 2nd hardly ever 3rd. car has 86,000 miles i bought it with 38 never had a single problem service on the car was always on time

sounds like the tranny is going. This happened to me about 2 years ago at the track, and the tranny has been fine though. It may of just been the TC got a little to hot. Do you have a tranny cooler? I highly recommend that, I put them on my friends stock cars just for added safety. Also when was the last time you changed your fluid?

 

was the car still cold by chance?

no it was warm i know what ur talkin about though the tranny acts like it has a shift kit when it is cold

Blackackk yeah it runs alot better than it did stock BUT IT IS FAR FROM FAST

I ONLY NEED THE CAR TO LAST TILL NEXT SUMMER THEN IM GETTIN RID OF IT

 

scott's right - get a tranny cooler...they are relatively cheap and Dustbuster created a thread that explains the install (do a quick search for it) in case you want to try it yourself
