HELP! Alarm keeps going off...

2 things: My alarm keeps going off, randomly. It'll be fine for hours than it goes off about 5 times within 10 min. Also, at the same time, when I unlock my car the alarm beeps twice, but when I lock the car, it locks but does not beep. This happened a couple of years ago and I can't think of what I did to resolve it. I don't remember changing any fuses.

I've disconnected the battery to reset the computer, but that didn't seem to work. My next step is to check all the fuses when I get home from work today. Any other ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
Erik

Try changing the battery in your remote, if you're by it, and your bat is dying in your remote, sometimes it'll trigger the panic. Or your trunk latch isn't catching all the way

I don't think it's the battery, since this is my spare key set, which I just started using for a couple of months. I'll still give it a shot. Although I'm at work on the first floor and my car is parked on the 5th floor and a co-worker told my it was going off this morning when she arrived.

I'll take a look at the trunk latch thing too.

Mine does it too, but it's ALWAYS the remote. I've also seen people on here over the years with the trunk latch problem.

What should I be looking for regarding the trunk latch problem? I'm still gonna try putting a new battery in today.
