Help! 98 CL, Clicking sound when steering

Help! 98 CL, Clicking sound when steering
My CL has this clicking sound coming from Inside the steering wheel area everytime I turn. Its not the CV Boots-axles or anything out, sounds like its coming from the steering joints or something. The dealer wants $150 just to diagnose...the sound is getting more louder, anybody has had this problem?

I experienced this on my Integra. The click was coming from the steering wheel everytime i turn. I removed the steering wheel and there was a steel ring that was loose. That the thing that is causing the clicks. I removed the ring (I dont know what's the purpose of it) and installed the steering wheel back. Problem solved. You can probably DIY.

Do you know what this ring is called? because I was looking at the steering mechanism diagram, and there are quite a few, plus given the proximity to the airbag, i dont wanna mess anything up
