help????????
i installed my new alternator today thanks to all who helped but now when i turn it on i here a high pitched squeeking and i tried to see what happened when i turn on the ac and oh man i wish i had a tape recorder to tape the sound but it was awful. and it hurts to see my cl hurt like that. well, bottom line i smelt burning rubber and when the ac was on, i looked at the tensionator and it looked like it wsa slipping up and sort of pausing so i think the bearing for the tensionator is going out now. how much will this cost me to fix it? i cant even drive it cause you can hear the skweeking. but hey good new i got the new alternator and i got my brakes fixed today and to top it all off the new alternator fixed my ground noise and i have crystal clear sound back. but the god damn tensionator is pissing me off and i need help asap.
note: how much will it cost me to fix the tensionator?

The tensioner assembly isn't cheap ($77.21 + shipping/handling + installation): http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...RACKET+%282%29 [Illustration #3]. You might be able to get away just replacing certain components (like the bearing) and not have to buy the whole tensioner.
Just a shot in the dark, but check to see if you have the belt too tight. Also, lubricate the pulley to see if that will help.
Good luck.

well the belt has a little play in it maybe no more than a half an inch was i supposed to swap the pully from the old alternator to the new one? i thought it was an even swap. let me know what i should do.
The pulley that came on my 180 amp alternator made the belt not fit, so I swapped the OEM pulley onto the 180 alternator. Works just great!
