I recently bought a 98 2.3cl. The trunk used to work with the remote, but now it doesn't. Anyone know why? Is it a fuse problem or a programming problem with the remote? If it is a programming problem, does anyone know how to fix it.

oops, i forgot to mention that I want 18 or 19's. Will 19's be a problem though?

 

welcome to the board. You probably already know this but when we bought my CL we thought the remote didnt work for the trunk but the dealer told us you have to hold the button down for 2 seconds or so.
As far as wheels go you might have to roll your fenders if you get 19s and IMO you would be better off with 18s but thats just me. If you do search you will find some pics of people with 18s and i think they look plenty big. What exactly are talking about when you say mags? Just rims or what?

Glad that helped. Dont worry about the trunk thing i did the same thing at the dealership. As far as some nice 5 spoke wheels my favorite ones are the racing hart C-5's. I havent seen them on 1st Generation CL though. I would like to be the first but i missing an important thing, MONEY. They are pretty light and well made but they are discontinued so they are hard to find but you may want to check out some other racing harts.

Sorry, but i'm actually looking for 5 or 6 star, 7 at most. And I the gap in the middle isn't exactly what i'm looking for. I also want it only it a silver colour that's not chrome. If you or anyone has rims like this in 18's preferably (maybe 17's), then email me.

My personal favorite would have to be the Racing Hart D5000s. I too wanted to be the first with em' but like the other guy that wanted the C5's; i'm broke. My car is black so one day i'll get them in white 18x7.5 form with a coilover system and i want Koni Adjustables. While i'm on the subject; does anyone know of any good coilover systems for our CLs? Mine is 3.0 (97)
