Hellllpppp!!

My car is sitting in my garage jacked up in the front, on two wheels on the back. In order to fulfil my agreement with justich111n (however he spells it) I had to send my teins and ingalls out yesterday. Well I ran into a lil problem. My front springs wont fit back onto the shocks. I have compressed them like hell and then my spring compressors flock to one Side. I take them to a local shop will a wall press, and the spring is bent sideways and it hits the shock. They thought I had mixed the front shock with the rear spring. But I checked and there is no way to mix them up! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON! Are my front shocks blown? If So Why cant I pull them out? they seem all the way out!! AHH HELP ME SOON!

even if the front shocks are blown you should be able to get the springs onto them

Sounds like something is fucked up w/ the spring. Are all the springs like this? Got any pictures to help us out?

Even, if the shocks are blown, it would not affect the mounting points for the springs (only the piston rod). The perch and end cap (base) shouldn't be affected.

OK the size of the front and rear springs are similar, yet the front struts are very small compared to the rear, is something wrong?

fronts are compressed more since they hold more weight (engine) and rear is less compressed less weight. Nothing is wrong.

I believe the front springs are longer and have more spring coils. The rears are fatter and have more spacing between the coils.
