Heating up!!! Help!!!
hi guys,
need all u'all's help. i been having problems with overheating. started about last month. took it to the mechanic. he said needs flush and refill. did that. one week later starts heating again. blew up the gasket. took it back. he said replace water pump and thermostat and gasket. $450 and two weeks later starts reheating again. i have no idea what the hell's wrong with this thingy. any ideas what's going on here. i remember replacing the radiator 2 yrs back.

hey man, thanks for the quick reply.
okay i forgot to add this. i saw some leak on the floor couple weeks back. got the radiator leak sealant/liquid, filled it up and the leak was gone. i did get the thermostat replaced with the water pump. the driver's side of the fan usually works more than the other one which is normal i guess. now if i change the radiator it's gonna cost me another 300. does that mean the mechanic fooled me here into replacing the water pump cos frm whati know the new radiator comes with the water pump.

take off the radiator cap while the car is cold. then start it. wait till it gets to normal temperature, or until the thermostat opens. look in and fill it up with water until it is at the top. if there is air in the system it will over heat. also if the dude put the thermostat in backwards it will work but not that good and will eventually over heat. also if it starts to overheat. turn on the a/c. with the a/c on the fan on the left. looking from the drivers seat will turn on. until u turn off the a/c. if that makes the car cool off then u have a bad motor fan the one on the right.

thanks guys for the great infos. well last evening i filled up my radiator 2nd time this week. This morning i checked underneath and found the floor was wet and guess what it was the radiator liquid and lots of it. so i think there's some kind of leakage somewhere and i think it's the radiator. i checked the fan on the right and it did turn on after a while but first the left one turned on and then after sometime the right one came on. im hoping this is normal.
