I have had my 97 CL for 6 months now and i have replaced 3 headlights and just had another go out today, i have only put Silverstar headlights in it. anyone got any bright ideas on how to fix this?

 

Stop touching the glass with your grubby fingers. Just playing. Halogen bulbs get very hot. If you get oils on the glass, it will heat the bulb unevenly and cause it to fail. If you are not touching the glass, you may have a contaminent in the housing. Make sure the hole is clean and the housing is dry. If there is any water in the housing, it could also cause the bulb to fail. The only other thing is if the bulb is not securely fastened in the housing. A loose bulb will endure additional forces that can damage the filiment or the glass to fixture seal. There really isn't much that could be wrong with it electricaly so I don't think it would be worth the trouble to go into that. Good luck.
