headlight conversion

Im interested if anyones done this..I have an Integra which is the similar light set-up 9006LOW/9005HIGH and did it to mine, and it made a WORLD of difference. I also used the Cool Blue lights to give it a more whiter slight hint of blue so its more HID looking, not the Ricey dark blue ones. Since i have projectors, they point down and arent offensive to oncoming traffic, and use the same volts, so they dont burn up the housing.
Heres the HOW-TO site:
http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm

and heres a pic of the outcome:

yeah i posted this up before with the same link for instructions. there seems to be alot of us who have done it on our cls but for some reason no one mentioned it. guess we all though it was common knowledge. im extremely happy with the outcome. cheapest and most effective lighting upgrade ever cept for stealing hid ballasts from another car ( which i dont support)

hey VXCL, why don't your links work anymore? I remember looking at your phat ride with the custom mesh, and wanted to get another glimpse at it. (A reply with a pic would be nice)

im in the process of fixin that. damn excite dropped comcast cable so i lost my shit. all i got to do is re upload on to the new server i can finally get a damn rep to give me my default pw. so annoying!!! btw in all this time that has passed i dropped my car with pro kits and koni yellows on the lower perch. ill try to get iot all back up on tues. it really pisses me off not to be able to show pics of stuff.

as far as my lights. no one has flashed me yet for the last 2 months. i didnt re aim them after the conversion. they were fine how i had them set with the 9006 bulbs. u know of anybulb 9005 that lasts as long as piaas but i can get in a more of an hid color??? until i get some real hids

thanx for the compliment. at least i know my hard work is payin off. ill get pics up asap along with my page with everyones rides. i had like 20 somethin ppl cls i think. 1st gens only

i actually have the Sylvania Cool Blue AutoZone specials and i love them. They arent ricey blue like u normally see, they are bright white with a HINT of blue, and now with the 9005 conversion they are even brighter and look even better as u can see with the picture..Ive had friends that have had them and heard of other people using the Cool Blues and have had nothing but good things to say about the longetivity and looks of them. i have more pics of the lights at night if you would like. -Chris

I had cool blue lights and hated them. i preferred the stocks to them actually! I got some xenon filled ones and they're so much brighter and whiter especially with the 9006s in there. They don't look ricey, just HIDish

hey, if you're going to remove your front clears, you could probably sell them to someone for the price you paid for them. I hear they're in high demand .

Oh yeah, VXCL, how in the world did you mesh the bottom of ur car, it looks really classy. I just meshed my upper gril (i bought the 97 replacement gril) and now i'm looking into meshing the bottom. I looked at the bottom gril, and it seems to be stuck to the whole bumper, so the only thing that i can do is put it behind those plastic thingies (Which i really don't want to do).
