Has This Happened To Any Of You?

My 97 Acura Cl Is Now Giving Me Some Little Problems - My Mileage Doesnt Want To Mark - My Rpm Doesnt Want To Work It Stays On 0 And I Could Be Going 100 Miles An Hour And It Will Stay On 0 - My Check Engine Light Is On And The D4 On The Dash Stays Blinking Even If On Reverse, Parked Etc - When It Switches From 1st To 2nd It Gives Like A Push - I Was On A Red Light Yesturday With The Foot On The Brake (obviously) And It Gave A Push Like If It Was Still Running - My Car Is An Automatic - Im Not Sure If Its The Transmission Or The Computer? - By The Way Do The 3.0 Come With Two Computers? One For The Car And The Other For The Tranny Alone? I Mean It Can Also Be A Censor On The Transmission

dude!! that problem happened to my LEGEND before...

it sounds like your speed sensor is messed up..

here.. go to this site.. and try to repair it yourself.. the positioning might be a little different from the CL and the Legend.. but its all pretty much the same..

97 Cl here too

My check engine light came on yesterday for the first time. My car has 94k on it, when the check engine light came on, the D4 also started blinking. I shut the car off and started it again, the CEL was still on but the D4 stopped blinking. I disconnected the battery and the computer reset but it came back on today and did the same thing. I haven't noticed any problems driving, although when I am at a stop light for a minute or so the car may "bump" forward a bit like the guy behind me bumped into me going 2 miles per hour... barely noticeable. Any thoughts on this?.. Has this happened to anyone?.. I had the 90k mile service done recently and Acura changed all the fluids and whatnot. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Damn Sounds Like What I Had Yea Mine Bumped Like That Too And My D4 Blinked All The Time Along With The Check Engine Light On All The Time
Also The Car When Switching Into 2nd Gear It Would Push Front (i Really Dont Know How To Explain That) Well At The End Of Evrything It Was That Censor That You See There In The Picture Above
Check That Out
Ohhhhh And Also My Guages Would Go Crazy And It Wouldnt Mark My Mileage

did you check your speed sensor, you should be able to pull it off and see if your getting th right amount of OHMs to the sensor, i think it shoulb be about 5 or 6 OHMs per side

Thanks for your help everyone.. I'll let you know I make out. I love the car but if the transmission goes at 94k miles, I'm gonna rethink getting another Acura. I've had two Preludes and I love this car.. the guy before be was a doctor, meticulous records kept on it. I bought it from his daughter so I know the car was babied. No reason it should be going! Anyway.. thanks for the help, I'm gonna replace the sensor and hope that's it.

Engine Codes

Can anyone help me out with these?.. I took my car to a place and got the computer looked at. It gave me two codes... PO700 some kind of transmission thing.. and PO715-- input turbine speed sensor circuit malfunction. Does this mean it's definitely the speed sensor? Thanks

I talked to one of the Acura people (not a tech) he just said it was a transmission problem. He wouldn't tell me if that was or even most likely was the problem. The guy was kind of a little bitch.. I went in their earlier and he was this little nerd running the service desk. Anyway, I've got an appointment tomorrow at 8am. Wish me luck cause I'm gonna flip out if I need a rebuild! Thanks to all for your help.

UPDATE!.... It was both censors that were bad. My PO700 and my PO715. The asshole at the dealership wanted 500 for parts and labor plus 80 for the diagnosis. I told the guy that was insane and I walked out.. he followed me and said because they're a new dealership and want my loyal service, they'd do it for free. So it's 160 for the parts and 80 for the diagnosis. Thanks to all for helping!
