Has anyone used AEM brake pads?

I need to replace my front brake pads and I'm considering buying the AEM/Nissin ceramic pads for my 1999 2.3. They're a little on the pricey side ($74 for fronts) so I thought it would be a good idea to do a little homework first. I just did a search and read a bunch of posts about brake pads, but I didn't find anyone actually had the AEM pads on their CL. Has anyone ever used them? Did they stop better than the OEM pads? How was the dust? Did they squeak? Thanks for your comments.

aem pads do stop better but they make more noise esp. when you have drilled, slotter, or both. dust imo makes less than most brake pads i have used

They are good I have used them and they work well. Dust wasnt to bad at all compared to OEM and noise was fine but I had factory rotors. If you can get PBR pads, do it they are less expensive and work awsome in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies. I've got OEM disks, so the AEM pads may be the way to go. Randol: I've never heard of PBR pads before. Is that the brand name?

I ran them on my CL. I had the big brake upgrade in the front w/ stockers in the back. I didn't experience any noise. I used the brake quiet grease from honda. I think that makes the biggest difference right there. Apply that stuff, and you won't experience too much noise. For me, the threw off just as much dust as stock. It was just a different color. I was pretty happy with them.

LOL, I used to work at PBR, there located here in Knoxville. Good quality place. Never used their pads though,...I might try them out next time I changed my brakes.

Based on the comments I decided to buy the AEM pads. I tried Summit, but they're out of stock for 6 weeks. I can't wait that long, so I tried www.tirerack.com, but they didn't have the AEMs. What a pisser. So instead, I ordered Akebono ceramic pads, who I think makes our OEM pads. Since the Akebonos were cheaper, I bought Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines too. I can hardly to put them on.
