Has anyone swapped an accord tranny into a 97 cl?

Has anyone swapped an accord tranny into a 97 cl?
I read alot of the topics about it saying that its a complicated thing, or that nothing lines up. So I was looking for a straight answer as too wether or not it could be done on a 97 3.0?
If it can be done, is there someone on this board that has done it?

We have the same motors, and trannies as accords, if anything, I think that they may not line up exactly, but like platano said, check v6p. They know tons about these motors. But as far as I know, there are subtle differences, example the doctor evil trannies have to be customized a bit from an accord to the cl.

If you are talking about about f22 or f23 transmission 90% im sure it fits. A 97 accord vs 97 cl should be identical in engine and tranny and a lot of other things.
If anyone is looking for 2.2 cl tranny let me know. I have 2.

the sensors and harnesses are in different locattions if i remember correctly. Same goes with the 97 tranny, and the 98-99 tranny. In other words, you cant put a 97 tranny on a 98 CL, because of something...I forget though...
For awhile, we werent able to buy the dr evil tranny for some reason, but i think that's all changed....

lol, weve got to come to a conclusion on this, someone out there has to know what the exact differences are. Its a b*tch trying to find a 97 tranny that isnt marked up due to being a 1 year only run.

everything is exactly the same on the outside (sensors, solonoids.etc), the internals are alittle different, and the major thing that will make it not fit is the end cap closest to the drivers side.. its 1" wider than ours, due to the internals. it will bolt up perfectly, and will prolly work if it fit, however if you look down inthere you have maybee 1.5" between the tranny and the drivers side firewall.
