my friend (<--used loosely) put my clutch in when we did my H22 swap. Since then i have had a hard time going into gears when i am stopped. He did not have the correct alignment tool when putting the clutch in. Since I don't have much clutch expeirience I thought one of u's could help me out. Is the install the problem or?

when you are putting it into gear does it grind a lot?
does it sound like it is always grinding even when it is not in gear?

it might just be that your tranny is screwed

so far i have had only one grind going into second. sometimes when i am in gear with the clutch in (at a stop) and i give it gas it feels like the clutch engages a little bit when i have it pushed all the way in. The h22 i got has only 11k on the motor/trans. I hope its not the tranny or I will loose a screw.

You wouldnt be able to get the tranny back on the engine if the clutch was misaligned. Dont think thats it.

Sounds like the clutch master or slave cylinders might be leaking or have air in the line.

Try bleeding the system of air and make sure nothings leaking around the pedal or at the slave cylinder near the starter.

did you get your fly wheel machined, some times when u do a clutch replacement, i was told you need to machine out your clutch, most clutch places do it for 40 bucks.
