H22 Swap: DETAILED instructions on shaving Prelude driver's side mount to fit?
The swap is still delayed due to the transmission mix-up, but I want to save myself some time later so I'll ask now. How exactly do I shave the mount to fit? I've searched here and H-T but haven't found any DETAILED instructions, just the usual "you need to shave the Prelude driver's side mount to make it fit." Can anybody tell me how and possibly show me a pic of the actual mount after it's been shaved? Thanks.

Haha yea thanks, my dad and I started it in August, and my dad noticed somethin weird about the tranny when he was tryin to see if the intermediate shaft fit. There was this extra adapter on the tranny, and turns out it's an SH tranny! The junkyard folks didn't think there was a difference between the base and SH trannies, but they're giving me an even exchange for a base tranny as soon as they get one.

on the mount there are two steel pieces that stick out from the each side causing it not to fit between the CL mount base, shave down each side so that it fits between the mount base and ur good. no detailed instructions needed, if you have the mount in hand and put it in place you'll see what i'm talking about.

It all boils down to a shitload of work that will make you wish you either kept it auto or sold it and baught a 5 spd.

if you go from auto to stick it's still the same, you'll still need those parts, the only thing you wont need is the tranny if you get it with the motor. my motor was actually from an auto, just took that off and put mines on.

Negative, I did the swap and went from auto manual. Did all the work with me and my partner and although you run into issues, you find ways around them. Nothing beats the satisfaction of over coming those obsicles and driving it for the first time and thinking to yourself, Damn this is weird how much faster my car just got. I got mine to 153(took off limiter) w/o the NO2. Everytime I get in that car, I think, Man this shit is so much more fun to drive
