ok, so the biggest thing right now is the H22 swap, but I was reading up on the engine and it seems to be a bit more confusing than it sounds just to find the right engine numbers. I've found JDM H22, H22A1, H22A4 and so on and so on. Some say to stay away from the H22A4, and some other say to dont even buy a H22 with an Auto Trans, but since that was going to just get thrown out anyways. Heres the big question. What H22 engine is running the most horsepower and what engine and trans number should we be looking for? not really looking for prices, just the horsepower. Thanks for taking some time reading this.

 

H22A is JDM, H22A1 is US obd1 H22's (93-96), H22A4 is US obd2 H22's (97-01). My JDM H22A was from an automatic tranny. Jdm H22A's seem to have the most power because of the higher compression. if that helps, there you go!

Thanks Leon that was some good info to know. BTW, would you know about how much power each one produces? And I really still dont understand what the whole OBD1 and 2 is all about.
