h22 for $900 worth it?

hey guys, as some of you may know, i have been planning on putting in an h22 soon, and found one for 900. The guy said its a 1998 JDM H22a. It comes with the lsd tranny and about 70k on the motor. You guys think thats worth it... considerin theres 70k on it? Oh and it comes with ECU. but im thinkin its gonna be OBD2 but he said he's gonna check. Let me get some opinions. Thanks.

You want ob1, but thats a good deal with the lsd trans. You can always build the motor later, so mileage don't really matter.

he said it was in a 92 si, so its possible that he ran it with an OBD 1 right? yeah i know I want obd 1 but i guess the perks of obd 2 are smog, but that wouldnt really matter if im building the motor anyways... one thing leads to another....
but you guys think thats a pretty cool deal or should i fork out another $1000 or so and shave off 30,xxx miles or so?

something sounds fishy here, first off it's 98 (newer motor), then it come with LSD tranny and the ecu for only $900? another thing (not saying this is impossible) but you don't usually see that new of a motor coming from japan unless it the type s or the blue top H23A motor. Is this the type s one?

okay i confirmed with the guy, he was running it out of his 92 prelude si, with the motor already in there, lsd on the tranny, everything works, ac blah blah along with clutch blahblah... and he said it was OBD 1. should i do it... im tempted... maybe i should have a mechanic go with me to check out the motor, but he said that the steering wheel/ignition is messed up so the engine won't start. anyone have any tips or ideas?

just pop the valve cover off and see if its nice and clean lookin. taking a mechanic wouldnt be a bad idea either. sounds legit to me.
