anyways... is it covered under the warranty?thanks again
I could be part of your exhaust system rubbing. I know it does have some coils that make your system flex. Maybe it is rubbing somewhere when your suspension moves. I just thought of that one.
Actually, the exhaust thing might be a good call. I have this problem on my 97 2.2. If you check near the center of the car in the tunnel, there should be an almost 90 degree bend in the exhaust. There is a mount right on the bend. The mount hanger protrudes dangerously close to the outside radius of the bend. On my car (and presumably others) the exhaust will swing upward after hitting a bump and thwack the end of the mount. It's actually left a mark on my car...
I haven't come up with any ideas for a fix - other than wrapping it with that fix-a-muffler-tape
Also, check your decklid - make sure the striker doesn't need to be adjusted down.
Exhast heat shields are notorious for making weird sounds. Some quality time under your car will tell you if this is the problem.
Most of what I've described thus far have been clunks and rattles...not really scraping. Can you further clarify your problem?
Area of the car, etc?

it sounds like it's coming from the wheel. but it's hard to tell exactly. i will check underneath the car today to see if the exhaust is loose, but i doubt that. do u think it can be the brakes rubbing the rotors? that's what it really sounds like. but my brake lights never appeared.
I am 90% sure this is the problem...
Our cars are equiped with a wear indicater on the brakes that makes that scraching/metal sound when the brake pads are wearing thin. This noise will get increasingly more annoying and constant until you change the pads. This is a good thing so that we don't mess up the rotors by waiting too long to replace the pads. Good idea really, annoy people enough so that they don't mess up their car. Acura is smart.
Check that out, my bet is the pads.

Noise
My Accord with a very similar suspension had two broken springs on the front due to driving over rough railroad tracks many times. The breakage was hard to notice without running your finger around the coils near the bottom tapered coil. Check that, as it allowed the coil to move in and rub on the shocks.
