Got new tires installed and they scratched the shit out of my rims
The other week of I got my new Yokohama es100's installed (they are the shit by the way). Anyways I finally got around to doing a good cleaning last week. I noticed all 4 of my wheels are scratched around the outsides and up to about an inch down. I called the place last week about it and the lady said she would call me back the next day. She never did, so I called he back two days later (which was last friday) and she said that she had to talk to her boss then she would get back to me. Its now wendesday and I havent heard anything. This happen to anyone, or does anybody have any suggestions?

Don't let them get away with it, first of all.
At least threaten to contact the Better Business Bureau if they don't take care of it....then threaten to sue if they don't.
My old rims were a little scratched inside the holes (from a torque gun) when I had my springs installed, but I let it go since they weren't visible on the outside.
You're the customer, it sucks when they screw up and don't take responsibility for their work.
Good luck getting it resolved.

yea, this happens alot. You gotta make sure you find a shop that has the rubber covers. But yes fight it, threaten to talk to the BBB. Tell them your father is a lawyer and said that they are responsible. If they deny it, tell them he'll be speaking to them. This usually gets it done.

I had that happen to me when I was getting a new tire put on and even though they had the rubber thing, it got scratched, so I kept calling, and bitching and eventually they gave me some money.

NTB scratched my rims also! :thumbsdn:
Not enough to make a fuss, but it was the principle. Really pissed me off!
Mike: I hope you can get this resolved to your satisfaction!

BP scratched the hell outta of my one wheel and put the directional tire on backwards plus they over inflated them
I fought with them forever and never got anywhere until i finally got a guy to say he would fix the tire. Im home for the summer and had to work so i had my mom bring it in for me and they cursed her out. Needless to say i have contacted BP and they are trying to resolve it

Damn you guys make me happy about something I took for granted. I went to a place recomended by tirerack.com and the guy lubed up the lips of my new 18 inch chrome rims and used a crowbar that had been wound with like 2 rolls of electrical tape to get my yokohama paradas on there cause the sidewall is like 2 inches and it was a bitch he said to get on because he had to do it gently for like 30 minutes to keep from scratching my rims.
