It came in 2 weeks early too! The Hood quality is outstanding, it is clear coated (but yes casp, the edges need to be painted) and there are no predrilled windshield squirters or latches. The quality is perfect and the mounting we will have to see. For $460 shipped to my work, i am VERY impressed! Looks like there are 3 of us with hoods now. O yeah pics and install will come this weekend, gotta finish my stereo system first guys!

no there is a u bolt for the latch, hopefully its the right side. I am talking about the latches that attach the hood to the car. The hood is very light, much more than stock. My brothers FI hood is a better quality, but this hood it just as light. Id say 12-15 lbs max

Congrats!! Do they make the hood pins with a carbon fiber finish?? I'd rather have the pins then a gap. Perhaps it would not look so obvious. Post pics when you get it on.

 

Lucky.. lucky you!!!!! I will tell you now that I thought the quality was great too... but watch out, any humidity or moisture will cause a haze in your CF... It looks like i have clouds in mine... Myabe you lucked out.. but I doubt it...

Lucky!! Would you be interested in selling your OEM hood ??? I have some front damage to mine and just tryin' to find out how much a replacement would be. What color is your ride ?? and if you would be interested, what would you sell it for ??

 

I dont thik you want my OEM hood, its got hail damage thats why I got the CF.

damn your car looks fat!, i have the exact same color, year, and 2.2, and i must say that carbon fiber hood looks dope, any problems with the hood/fittings? any major gap? id like to buy one seeing as how no one in hawaii has the cf hood, but since im down here dcsquirm said i might have some shippiing issues so idk yet
