Got HID!!

ENGAGE MY VTEC BABY!!!!!!
ive got mine d1s xenarcs
and those are Gen 3 hella ballasts, very good pick up, top of the line for ballasts, volvos do carry hids how ever, you will need to change them from d2r to d2s by lightly sanding off the film/stripe on the bulb, you will get more output and its worth the time, and you will HAVE to rebase them to 9006, i have not done that since i dont need them with my conversion
but they will need to be converted as well for sure as well as you need to get a harness, cause hids when at start up draw i think 45-48watts and out stock harness only handles 35 watt if that, you can go to www.suvlights.com or www.xenondepot.com
you will need a 9006 harness and you will need a set of connectors to hook up from the balllast wiring to the plug then you plug into the harness, and just a thoguht you plug for the ballast the wires are a bit short, i were if i were you make the wires 5-6 inches long and then have the ocnnector, if you hvae any more questions you can pm me or hit me up on aol im @ jgiguere17 or email jgiguere17@yahoo.com

i highly doubt that. i've watched 2 ballasts hooked to a 20 amp fuse blow it everytime during startup. they draw WAY more power during startup then halogens. multiples of more power. but after that its fractional compared to halogen. all i know is if yor kit didnt come with a harness and connect directly to your battery your asking for it.

that sounds right after initial startup which is like 10 secs after turning them on. i don't see why any kit manufacturer would even publish initial startup info becuase the majority of their market could care less and it doesn't help sell it either.

Thanks for the info and offer of help 97Acura3.0CL I will hit you up if I have questions.
I took the connector apart and put new Red & Black wire in so I don't have to remember Yellow is - & Blue is + I ordered the connectors/ harness I need.
Whats the best way to remove the film?
Don't want to damage the bulbs they seem frail.
Thanks!
