Goodbye and Thank you for all the stuff I learned

I wanna thank everbody up in here for helping me spend an arm and a leg on my 98 3.0. I found this website by accident, and haven't stopped coming.

Well I ended up selling my 98 3.0 cl and ended up purchasing an 01 3.2 CL type s.

I woke up one morning stepped on the gas..My RPM revved all the way but car went nowhere...I said its time to move on. Sold the car for 4200, same day found a white Type S....

yes I am aware of the problems the 3.2 is capable of having. But I had 168,XXX miles on my 3.0 with no chance of getting an aftermarket warranty.

At least with the 3.2 I got a warranty, so i"m not really to concerned with the issues, because knowing me, I'll get rid of this car within 1 - 1 1/2 years and get something else.

Not sure which direction I'm going with the car.

The white just completely threw me off, I'm used to all my cars being Black on Black, so now I have a white car and have no idea whats in store for it.

Good job getting rid of the 1G if it was time to go. No goodbyes, you aren't going anywhere! How much did you pay/what mileage on the CL? That is ironic that you got rid of a 1G b/c of tranny issues and the picked up a 2G AT that is probably MORE known for tranny issues lol. If I could do my 2G CL over I would have waited and found an 03 6MT...Having the AT though, you just have to find out if your vin is covered under the 109k/03 month warranty that H/A owners unwittingly agreed to, fucking themselves over by relieving H/A of any responsibility/accountability after 109k. The public looked at this as "oh extra time and miles, how magnificent!" while H/A looked at this as "spend a couple extra hundred thousand now, save a couple million later"
Do you have an warranty besides the tranny warranty?
You may become familiar with the terms "oil jet" and "clutch pack/clutch switch".

I suggest OBX/SS headers + tints ASAP

Now your 2G training begins my son!

^ i never knew that. i have a quart of SSM paint sitting in my room. i was gonna repaint my whole front end, but, since its a quart, thats enough to do my whole car, so i might just do that. sorry for the rant now back to your new car.

If it's on the bumpers it would be more safer than sorry to just paint the whole thing.

I got a full warranty 3 years 75K miles. Bumper to Bumper as well as Powertrain.

I looked and looked for an 03 but either they was WAY TO EXPENSIVE or WAY TO MANY MILES AND STILL TO EXPENSIVE...and with the possibility of my tranny going at any minute, I settled.

Fucked up thing is I noticed that after I bought the car. I did a carfax and it said it was in a light accident. I pulled up Raleigh PD website, and you can view their police reports. According the report it was only like an estimated $300 worth of damage. But it looks like either the bumpers both front and back was replaced, or they faded like a mofo

LOL how can my 2 cents be BS? Not that a touch up couldn't look good, I just thought it would be safer and possibly look better painting the whole thing (bumper, not car). I haven't touched up any of my cars before so I can't speak from experience. If you were in the OP's position of both bumpers looking off, doesn't it seem logical to paint the entire bumpers?

As far as the accident, at least if the police report says it was only a couple hundred dollars then you probably shouldn't be too worried about much more than cosmetic damage.

It is logical to paint both bumpers that's what I'd do, I was just saying it was possible to match with oem match paint

I made it sound like paint the "whole car", I really meant the "whole bumper(s)".
