goodbye clers **56k warning**
it is with regret and sorrow(really), that my cl is gone. i got hit as i was backing out from my brother's driveway on 8/5th; the other driver speeded away; and i was a victim of a hit n run. the cl was totaled. this continued my string of bad lucks. on 5/8 i was hit on the freeway, the car that rear ended me was totaled. my last accidient was on 8/5, 5-8 and 8-5, send chillz up my spine. between those two dates, i got my wheel stolen too. :*( http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...readid=106941.
and to rub it in, i just bought a set of chome 18 wheels 2 days b4 the last accident. didnt get to enjoy it.
here are some pictures.
however, some good can come out of all the bad things, and this is my new ride, an 99 RL w/ only 19k.

well guys it has been a year, and its time to say goodbye. good luck and have fun.

hey thanks guy for your kind words. i'm okay. i only suffered some minor bruises, and nothing major like a broken bone or any internal damage.
the wheels are fine, and yea i ll probably try to ebay it. i still have the original box with them.
wheels are hp racing evo 18" chome. its very pretty.![](http://nailsbylinda.com/rl/wheel.jpg)
the RL ride is superb. very smooth and quiet. i do 70 on the freeway with the rl, and it only seem like doing 45 in the CL.

WOW!!! My girlfriend and I just got done reading your stories. We feel for you man. It looks like you moved up to bigger and better things. Nice RL.
How much did the insurance company give you for your CL?
Is there anything you can sell from the car?

thank god you are ok, cuz if you would have been hit in the front it may have been a different story. make sure to check with a doctor a couple of months from now because some times the damage takes a while to show up. ne ways, congrats on the RL
its practically brand new at 19k

wow....congrats on the RL...good things come out of totaled cars. Glad you weren't hurt...at least they hit you in the back and not head on!
i love the wheels...wish i had some money, i'd buy them in a second, i think they'd look sweet w/ my red CL...oh well.
have fun hooking up the RL...i have always liked those cars

answers for some of the questions:
guys, the steering wheel is off an acura mdx 01' model year. however, it is in my sister's 01 honda accord ex v6 now. i got the steering wheel off ebay. search for "acura wood steering" on ebay sometime, and you ll find it around 200-350 a piece.
my insurance co paid me 16k tax included. that is after 1k dedutible and another k for high milage, but i did have 1grand add on for my stereo.
its pretty amazing that the other car was still able to drive away from the scene of the accident. the other car took my bumper cover and bumper guard/beam with it. we found the bumper cover a few blocks away. that car was leaking coolan heavily. we tried to track it down, but eventually the coolan dried up or empty from that car.

sorry guys, there are no more parts from the wrecked cl. insurance company towed it away.
after two accidents, none were my fault, but i've been driving much more safer. no more doing a 100 on the highway, and no more following other cars too closely, and no more zip zag in and out from lanes to lanes. double check at intersections and stop signs.
yea and i'm hella scare that it might happen to my RL.
drive safely guys, b4 you have to learn a lesson, then its already too costly. i'm glad in a way that i didnt hit anybody and i was able to learn a couple of valuable lessons through ppl who hit me.
