A good mechanic So. Cal - South Bay Need One

Hey All!

My 98 CL is making a weird squeak / grinding sound (sometimes) during driving. I've done the search and found out through previous postings that it may be the bushing or struts / suspension. I know the dealer is a total rip off but I don't know a fair mechanic in the South Bay (California) Torrance, Redondo etc. Does anyone know a good mechanic and if so would they let me know, please?

Thanks,

Iloveacura

yup, he moved to Texas... i think...

OP: Is your car squeaking everytime you go over a bump (even small ones)? it might just be your bump-stop. I had the sam problem three days ago. I recently changed the front shock absorbers and did not lube the components adequately so it squeaks VERY BAD... i spent two days looking for the problem and brought to a mechanic...... all he had to do was spraying some WD-40 on the bumpstop between the springs and shocks... problem solved.

Hey Black: how many time have you changed your avatar??? lol

Haven't found one i like yet, people used to bitch at me for never changing it

If you're squeaking, you either need bump stops or need to lube your bushings

is the sound only happening when u are driving? or just when the car is on as well? make sure the sound isn't coming from the engine bay. Because grinding/scratching noises from the engine bay could be the alternator.

Thanks everyone! I removed my equipment from work from the trunk and I haven't heard the sound since. Maybe it was just something vibrating back there? Not sure but I hope so. Anyway, I appreciate all the feedback! Thanks!
