yeaa I tries to install my gauges and broke off my temp. needle, I think your best bet, if you break a needle is to call up a junk yard and get a used cluster, you can always play with the miles on the odometer to match. Luckily a friend had an accord cluster with a broken gas needle, i just took the temp gauge out and replaced it. A used cluster is gonna cost you about 100+,

thanks and im to the point where i need to wire the gauges in. should i just tap it into the dimmer wires? red into red, black into black? and i know this is a stupid question, but how do you tap into it? do you cut open the rubber and splice it like that?

yes... that was my dumb-ass. but hey.. you live.. you learn.
if you break a needle, just put it back together and order a new gauge from acura. the temp one i broke was $40 to replace. i had to wait for it because the honda dealership wanted $120 for the exact same part. so i just waited for a week and got it from the acura dealership for the REAL price.
hersons honda... here is what i think of you: :sqntfawk:
p.s. i would not tap into the dimmer because i did that and they dont change colors anymore. WTF?

Just tap into the dimmer the black and the outer red one will give you constant 12 V. the middle dims it and wont wokr the way you want it to. Just slice the coating off and solder it on if you cant to that you can get splicers and Ace or something. Then just run the dimmer to wherever you want.
I love mine, there great!!
