G23 motor

so i've been reading in the honda forum as well as this one. that our F23 long block with a H23 head is a G23 frankenstien motor? does this really work? and will VTEC still be there. and i'm just wondering if anyone has done this yet. how much HP this kind of motor will produce, as well as the torque.
any information will be greatly appreciated.

thankz a bunch.

f23 block with h22 head
i am not sure how much power you'll be getting but i'm pretty sure more than a jdm h22 =/
just getting all the parts well for me is a bitch and putting shit together cause i am not great with engines =( but yea it's pretty reliable i guess =)
stock tranny? uhh. . ure messing with just the head soo nope!
you should ask pirate or i think it was sam. . .cause they are the ones that did it
and search! there was a posting on this like 3 times

i did one on my homeboys h23 lude. (botom part of block is basically the same as the f23) they dyno anywhere from 175hp to 186 to the wheels. from what ive seen,, and they pull like a mofo from 5g (vtec) it is pretty expensive, and has to be done the right way. theres a half ass way and a good way to do it. but yea do a search and youll find out all the info youll need.

i think itll be easier to just put an h22 in and not have to worry about the part hunting.
