Wink Fun things come in the mail (pics)

this is what I got in the mail today (my nokia phone is for size reference):

DAMN when I saw the size of the SCI I was suprised as hell. I have no idea where I am going to mount it now. It's freaking huge. I know where I am going to put the blaster SS coil, but not sure about the SCI.

Any suggestions on where to mount the SCI? Preferably near the battery, and I have a CAI so the intake box is gone.

I'll be installing these sometime next week since my damn plug wires got delayed and I won't get them till mid next week, and I don't want to install this on the stock wires.

the coil is part number 8207 adn the SCI is 6300.

don't order them yet, I'll write a review after my first tank of gas with them is through.

I ordered them from summit racing for a total of $228 on sunday and they arrived today

I ordered the wires from elsewhere for $58.

Then I'll be getting my valves adjusted and the head cover bolt I broke replaced and my alternater pulley installed (all three at once) then I'll take it in to tune my vafc2 (finally).

basically it makes the sparks from your spark plugs "stronger" and helps ignite all the fuel making more power.

not with this car unfortunately. rev limiter is implemented with fuel cut, so it'll still shoot spark in there, but no gas, and that's what causes it to cut out at the rev limit.

I've been looking around and it seems the only thing that will allow me to advance timing beyond factory settings or to rev past the rev limiter is the emanage ultimate which is about $600 for the unit and software + pnp harness.

I might get that later, but I'm about to spend all kinds of money on the dr evil tranny, so it will be a while before I spend anymore.

The f22b1 in the 2.2 stops making power at around 6000rpm or less, so it would make no sense to rev it up any higher.

it wasn't a stock f22 motor, but it wasnt turbo...look like a lot of bolt-on parts. if your reprogram the ecu and actually tune ur motor right you can get it way over 6k. my brother old ass 90 civic with a tuned ZC motor and a reprogrammed ecu was able to keep pulling over 8K rpm and the stock tach end at 6k.

I also took some pics of how big the SCI is in the engine bay, and where I am going to mount the coil. i think I am going to mount the SCI below the battery tray. According to the instructions that came with it it says all the internal circuits have been treated with something to protect against moisture, so unless i submerge the whole thing i should be good to go.

Also, it looks like my wires have been shipped, and I should be recieving them on monday (my bday coincidentally) so it;s like a present to myself.

nice. the SCI is pretty much the same as teh 6a, just a few little improvements/fixes/upgrades. I'ts like the difference between 1.0 of computer software and 1.1.

damn you are lucky you got it for that cheap and they made that mistake. Where did you end up mounting it.

oh wait, didn't you have a 2.x? ah well I'll figure it out.

I already looked all over at v6p.net and there is nothing over there about that. nobody over there upgraded the ignition. At least nobody posted that they did. ah well. I'll be a pioneer.
