Front speaker sizes?

I am changing the fron speakers. I know that 6.5 inch speakers can fit, but what about mountaing depths. Most 6.5 inch speakers have mounting depths of nearly 3 inches! Will this fit?

THanks

I think there are some 6.5 speakers that will fit in the doors, but not sure which ones. You might be better off getting Qlogic kickpanels for 6.5's and just replace the doors with 5 1/4's.

I don't think you can put 6.5's in Qlogic kick panels. You would have to get something custom made.

If you have a 2.2 then the front speakers are 5 1/4, but I took the brackets out of a 3.0 and put 6.5 in my 2.2 I have Mb Quartz components. I highly recommend them, they are so clean and they will blow you out of the car.

Where did you get the brackets from the 3.0? Did you get them from a junkyard or did you buy them from the dealer?

Is there something we can buy from an audio house to solve this problem?

I'm not going to waste my time getting 5 1/4 if I can get the 6 1/2.
I thought we did have 6 1/2 in the 2.2's...
guess I better check mine.

I got my brackets out of my friends 3.0, he was selling it so we switched them out before he sold it. I am sure you can go to the junkyard and find some. I know if you try and order them from the dealer they are like 75 bucks (i can not remember if that is for both of them or a piece). As far as getting something from an audio store, I am sure they would say that they would have to custom make them and charge you alot to do it, but i am not sure.
