I was wondering, Does the front lip for our cars is mounted on top of the one that the car brings?

Yeah its very easy to put on. Just peel the tape off and with the help of a friend push the lip on over your existing moldings. You dont even need to put any screws in but i sunk two in on each side (included with lip) for extra security
