Fixed the car

Hey guys if you ever have a problem with your car starting and making a clicking noise i would not go out and buy a new starter i looked into it and it woudl run you about 150 cheapest plus a 50-75 dollar core charge. i found this shop in the central valley in modesto, ca that redoes the starter and silinoid he was going to charge me 119 for it rebuilt but he was talking about my car and he had a CL as well so we got to talking and i got the parts for almost cost. 87.96 out the door, a practically brand new starter fully rebuilt and working.

Note: that if you start he hear a clicking noise when you start the car the silinoid is going out, some say the ignition but i had that done already but a lot of the imports from what this guy was telling me this is what they do, they make that "click" noise and will start after a couple of turns but after a while it will stop like mine did. but now its fixed and im back on the road, this sucked though that it had to happen on a saturday since monday was labor day and nothing was open so i had to wait to tuesday but oh well.

if anyone has problems with this i am making up instruciton on the removal of the starter and what to look for.

thanks to all that helped me out and a special thanks to my main man Rick aka. Dustbuster

I'm glad you figured out the problem.

So much for my ignition theory!

That EXACT thing happened to me last night. ( It didn't even turn over) I was sooo pissed off! But after a few tries it started right up, and started fine every time after that. Do you still think it is the silinoid going? Not the starter right?

Everything should be ok but when the solenoid is going out that means the starter might not kick in. Everything else in you car will be a-ok (unless something else is screwed up of course) but this particular problem is just (more or less, i know this is a vague deffintion) but a bad contact in the solenoid to kick the starter in. Sometimes it'll hit, sometimes she won't.

Now I just got my alternator tested at 6.5 amps! This doesn' t make sense to me. We tested my battery before the alternator and it tested fine. My car didn't start last night. Ever since then, its started right up, if the battery was dead (because of alternator) my car wouldnt still be starting right now. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL TO FIX!!!!!! Alternator, Starter, Ignition Switch? WTF!
