first gen tranny upgrade???

So I have 100,300 miles on my 3.0 auto and I've been seeing some of what you guys say are the warning signs of a bad tranny. So yesterday my pops called the dealership (Ardmore, PA) and they said I don't need a new tranny but this upgrade thing that they can install on it to make it shift smoother. I haven't heard anything about this can anyone give me some info on it? and will it really fix my late shift/ hard shift problem? Also who are the people who have gotten their tranny replaced by the dealership after 100k miles. The dealership around my way is real cool and my neighbor works at the honda dealership so I think they will replace it if thats what needs to be done w/o me paying an arm and a leg.

I think they are pulling your chain. They might be talking about a transmission coller, but if it's already showing signs, it's going to go out pretty soon.

Are they talking about a shift kit or a tranny cooler?
