gotta compliment your taste looking at a vintage 911 (i came *this* close to going that route).
but buy with your head; if it's your daily, s2k 4d win.

i appreciate the responses and i think ive decided on what route im heading towards... loooks like im goin with a vintage 911 years 71-73...im hoping to get one for about 10-15k and using another 10k to rebuild engine, and complete into RS specs
i know the s2k is the less painfull choice...but my heart has always been set on porsches...and after this one i dont think ill ever buy anything but

I wouldnt touch the porsche. Now, dont get me wrong. I absolutly love porsches. I would have one in a minute IF i had porsche money. Even if you rebuild the engine. Your still going to have problems. The car is over 30 years old.
Get one, fine. But not as a daily driver.
