Finally Finished Installing Suspension!!!!

Before i show you the pics i must tell you my story....I had no prior experience in installing suspension or removing/installing bushings. I was in for a huge surprise....

First i installed the fronts no problems. Then i got to the rears. I got the strut out by cutting the bolt that snapped off at the bottom. That was the least of my problems....i then realized that the bolt was so stuck into the bushings that i tried to drill them out...didnt work. i had to end up buying new bushings....

I had NO idea how hard it was going to be removing those bushings, but i was so persistent....so after torching, sawing and hammering and finally pressing on the new bushings, i finally was able to put the rear suspension on.

SO after about 4 days of panic, my KYB AGX/ Neuspeed sports are in.

Im out to enjoy my suspension now and pics will be up tonite!!!

HERE ARE SOME PICS!!!

This is what i ran into. Bushing was done:

These are the 2 bolts i had to buy:

These are the 2 bushings i had to buy (rawbeans told me these couldnt be purchased before..) :

This is what i did to get the old bushings out:
Left side bushing:

Right side bushing:

Both bushings:

I Had to burn out the old bushings and then cut and bang out the outer metal ring

I did not take pics of how to press in the new bushings because my hands were really dirty and didnt want to mess up my phone. I used a 27mm socket, bench vise, and some pieces of wood to press in the new bushings into the knuckle. This process was VERYYY VERYY HARDD...

Here are the finsihed results:
2 finger gap in the front:

2 finger gap in the rear:

And full body shots:

This adventure has taught me soooo much....i can now proudly say "I can replace bushings and suspension on my car. FUCK YOU SHADY MECHANICS!!" HAHAH

SEE YAAA!!!

i used a bench vise to press the stuff in. i also used a 27mm socket on one side and some pieces of wood on the other side because the bushing sticks out a bit.
i hope you werent trying to press stuff in with your hands LOL...

Im pretty sure those would work. they have the general shape for our cars and you can just trim whatevery you dont need off with tin snips.

You can buy the presser for about $200-$300 at autozone, depending on how much compression you want.

hmmm.. i rather not pay 200-300 USD(300-400 CAD) for something that can be done with normal tools.

It's more for puliing and pressing in wheel bearings and such. Bushings can def be done with normal tools like you said, but at a much slower rate depending on where it goes.

thats a good price.....but you would have to take off the knuckle (pita) to use that. i didnt have to remove anything when pressing in my bushings with a bench vise....

plus, you need other tools with that 1 ton press like dyes and stuff because there is no holes in the base of the press....still a good price tho...i wonder if 1 ton is enough power to press stuff on....
