Hoffhiness, your buddy "okccl" has said that he saw you ran a 12.7 second quarter mile. Is this true? What mods do you have, and what was your 60 foot time.

Congrats if the rumour is true, why the hell didn't you tell us? This would by the way make you the fastest first and second gen CL around. Good Job :thumbsup

 

He has a 6 speed cl-s tranny, aem computer, and 150 shot to name a few. He has a bunch more mods listed in his sig.

I don't think he posted it because lots of people were giving him crap about not being legit with the tranny conversion. They wanted pics, but he had no digi cam.

 

Sorry but I would some proof before I belive that one. The guy hasn't posted a single pic of his tranny swap or his car for that matter. Gotta see it to belive it.

 

Yea, but i'm always willing to take the benefit of the doubt from another members word. It's very understandable to not have a digi cam, and if I had a swap and you guys didn't believe it because I didn't have pics I could care the fuck less.

 

hey if it is tue, than that is awesome. On the other hand, I am takeing his word htat he did the swap, I have no reason to believe othrwise.

 

look at dust and how much he has done, he tried to run 13's but i think he ran a 13.046 i think but he tried to get below that mark but i dont know if he has done it yet

but, Hoffhiness has some other things done to his motor also, plus he was building his motor for his "'150 shot project" plus a 6 speed, would mean that he was putting down at least 300 hp to the wheels. I think it is possible, don't know though

 

I just missed the 13's due to excessive wheel spin!

I'm gonna get my tranny rebuilt (it's starting to slip), get the Type 'S' cams installed, and go with direct port nitrous injection. I'm also gonna upgrade the front axels/CV joints and run Nitto drags.

I'm going up to the shop on Thursday to get an estimate.

Well i must admit i'm kinda upset that people on this board would be low to a fellow Cl owner. I guess it doesn't matter because he has a fast car and he's happy. The dude's never in town and when he is, it's not with a digi cam trying to prove to people that he's done what he's done. I'm just stickin up for my bro like i'm sure any one of you would for your friends. So to make it valid, we need to see pics of everyone's Cl so we know that they drive a cl??? I'm sure he'll get pics but don't slam him with disbelief, the guy's put a ton into and hasn't even had the time to enjoy it; to busy makin flow. anyway-peace

I understand all that, but if you come up in here selling wolf tickets, your ass better put on a show - what I am saying is, it's nice for you to stick up for him and all, but there has got to be some form of proof somewhere besides yours and his word. I have a doubt, no question, but I ain't slamming the guy either, I just want some proof before we place him up on Mt. Vesuvius and crown him king.

We can wait for proof, just don't make it a lifetime.

 

Hey wait a sec, I am not bashing him or saying that he didn't run it, I was just hopeing htat he would respond to htis post and let us know if he ran it. No offence to you but htings tend to get exxagerated when they are retold by someone other than who ran the time. For instance, people are saying over in the s2ki forums thsat I ran a 13 flat in my s2k stock, when I really ran a 13.5 partly modded. Understand, not bashing, just trying to figure out what's up.

 

woohhh everyone...time out. Okay, i can see both sides here. My friend stickin up while i'm away and pep's want to see everything that's going on. One thing to understand: I don't get on this board to prove anything. I'll built my car for myself. I don't live at my home but maybe a week and a half in a month so this board is not top priority--sorry. I do have a tremendous amount of respect to the people who have a ton of post and help everyone else--like me. But i'm not that way. I come when i can. When i did the intstall, i didn't make a photo album so i could put on my website--(i dont have a web site). The internet is my place to email family so i'm not on it alot. I hardly have any post for being on here so long. Anyway, i have some pics from way back when i first got my new tranny and i'll post those with this post. It will be my first attachment so let's hope all goes well. As for the 12.7--it's true. The slip is at home and i will post that too if you want. I hope people will have some belief, but if you don't, you know were you can go!!! J/K I never second guess anyone on here, i don't think you should either. Hope we can all have peace now-hoffhines.
