Sometimes when I brake, I get a single faint knocking noise, any idea what it could be?

I was thinking maybe just the the cold from the winter?

Hard to really tell, seems to come from different places at times?

For the most part it's behind me though.....

And just today, when i was driving, when i go into 2nd gear, i get a knocking noise to the left of me on the drivers side....heh....whats going on! lol

Could be the abs if the peddles knocking

Yeah, thats kind of what I was thinking. But if its behind him, then it wouldnt be the abs.

Neither, just a sound like something sliding forward or knocking, i checked for lose articles, nothing, i do have to clean my trunk out but it doesnt sound like its coming from the trunk. heh

i actually have the same type sound coming from the back of my joint...i think something just came loose and is hitting a suspension piece. i just don't have the modivation to go up under there and look

Could be your cat converter too, I have that same knocking sound, plus I just tied up my cat converter

I get a knock especially when its cold. I set my mind that my mounts are giving out, not being able to handle the h22.

im thinkin its the cold weather....i have a similar sound when braking, but its coming from the front, ive checked them over completely, taken the caliper off, reassembled everything, and still just a slight sound...if it is brakes it could be the change in temperature in the brake system compared to the cold outside

i dont remember it ever happening when its warm out, but usually consistent warmer temps. smooth over all the sounds coming from vehicles...hopefully you find what yours is

I have that same knocking noise but I don't know if its just the emegency car kit in the trunk or something else in addition to it sliding around.
