The only open recall ownerlink shows is the ignition switch recall.

yeah they should be able to check on the service record of the vehicle if the services were done at an acura dealership.

no factory recall/warranty extension for the transmission

hey, i have a 99 3.0 and there's an EGR port recall ( thats what made me fail my last inspection )...... call Acura directly and give them your VIN, they should be able to tell you what recalls are on your vehicle, and whether or not they have been serviced by a dealer

i am still tryin to figure out if the EGR recall applies to all 97 3.0s? i called acura, and they said my vin does not qualify for that recall, yet everyone i spoke to with a 97 3.0 has said they got it done, whats the deal?

if its a saftey recall they HAVE to comply with the recall. the egr recall is a service bulliten meaning it has happened enough times or enough people called and complained that they said fawk it its a free fix, but under these circumstances... milage, age, location, vin number.

the ball joints are a saftey recall. meaning as long as that car is on the road it is covered.

i have a pretty good feeling thats what is wrong with my car is the ball joints, because when im on the freeway and the road is kind of bumpy. My car feels less than safe. More like hazardous!

sounds more like a strut issue. have your struts checked and also have your strut "onion" (where the strut comes out in the engine bay) checked to make sure it hasent been destroyed or come loose.
