f22 dohc

i was looking for good deals (like always) and came across a jdm f22b dohc. said 160hp, he only wanted 550 for it plus shipping

anyone thought about just getting a dohc head, it would be an easy swap and the vafc should be able to control it without using jdm ecu

any thoughts

well how about the mounts and tranny? f22? which car has that engine? oh well i am not an expert but you should invest in a comptech supercharger like the one that showed up to the west coast meet in oregon. i want one of those. how much was that supercharger if anyone went to the meet?

f22b DOHC with 160hp??? Kinda low on the hp with a dohc. The h22 puts out 40 more hp with the same displacement. It has to be a mistake.

um i believe there was an f22b DOHC motor a euro accord.. and 160hp sounds about right for a detuned h22a.. and if its a DOHC f22b motor.. you can most likely rip the head off it and put it on your f22a block.. you won't really get anywheres tho.. just put an h22a in the car and call it a day.. you need a better trans.. you need the h22a as it has different coolant and oil passages in the block.. and it makes more HP.. superchargers are for 7 second muscle cars.. you need an h22a with a turbo

us 4 bangers have f22's

my point was to change the head and that's it, go from sohc to dohc at 160hp. if he only wanted 550 for the entire engine, how much could just a dohc head cost? 300 maybe

f0de: this is not for me, maybe for niedjeb and others that are heavily modding the f22 and f23

i'm just lookin out for the fellas

that is a smart move instead of paying stupid $$$$ to try to get 10hp outta our F22a. If the head fit - for the $$$ i think its a good deal. where is the guy selling it from?

i might buy it even though i have an H22. I will put it on my old motor and build it for a civic hatch.

Post a link or tell em where to buy it from.

the f22b is not VTEC. Its a DOHC 2.2 thats all. I dont think u can put a non VTEC head on with out changing the ECU and wiring, Correct me if im wrong but it seems like 2 much trouble.
