F**king Climate Control

I've had my CL for like 8 months but I still haven't figured out the F**KING CLIMATE CONTROL. I don't want AC, I don't want any auto temperature crap, I don't want no stinkin fan on, I just want the vents open so that air naturally flows in from the outside based on how quick I'm going. Just open vents. Is there anyway to do this?

just press "off" and make sure the circulation one is not lit up..no lights should be on at all and you will get outside air....

that circulation one is the far right hand one on the top with the little car and the arrows going around..make sure that it is NOT lit up......and that should flow the air from the outside....

Thx man, I'll try that. I remember a while back someone said if you turn the climate control off then the AC will sometimes turn on by itself? Is that true??

you also have to open your vents by pressing the mode button to show the arrows going toward the little guy's head.

If you do that the fan will turn on. If you turn EVERYTHING off on the climate control like people have said, and make sure the circulate air button is off, then air will flow through vent style. It annoyed the shit out of me till i figured out to hit the circulate button. LOL.

does the "auto" mode save more gas? i hate it when it reaches the temp and it just opens up the vents. now all the nasty poluted air is coming inside w/ me inhaling it.

so what i do it turn it on by pressing auto and turn on the circulation. that way, the temp's set and no outside air comes in. but what's the point of having the auto mode?

^ it cycles the AC on and off to keep it at the set temp. I guess it saves gas since the AC isnt always on. But it is really annoying in the little 2.2 because when the ac come on at interstate speed my speed drops about 2 or 3 mph until the cruise compensates.

Don't use cruise then. Drop from 5th to 3rd and hit the AC, you'll still have plenty of power to get back up to speed

if auto is on the ac is always on. Acura designed it that way so you would enjoy maximum comfort no matter what temperature it is. it can be set to 90 and it will still kick on the ac compressor. thats why the ac off button is there.

yeah, it took me a little while to figure it out myself...esp. in the winter...when you turn the heat on, you also need to hit the a/c button to make sure the a/c won't run. the climate control is a pain in the ass in the winter. pretty nice so far in the summer...

I don't understand what the problem with setting it at a temp and leaving it is? In the winter, i crank it in the 80's and it makes the car nice a toasty, in the summer, its in the 60's and chilly.

DAYUM u put ur car into the 60s in the summer... u must use a shit load of gas...

I found the climate controls self explanitory... I just played with the mode button the a/c button and auto...

if u push auto u turn everything on ... the a/c and the computer just adjusts the vents accordningly... like leg vent and front vent ... blah.

hit the a/c off button and the climate control will try to get the car to ur set temp... WITHOUT A/C so using vents...

and with the A/C off y can use the mode button and switch to desired vents used.... all the while climate control is still trying to get internal temp to set temp...

yeah, 60's is usually way too low...i put it at 60 when i first crank it up, but 72 is good enough once you're rolling...it's like the thermostat in your house, you know?
