Extreme tire wear questions ???

I have had really bad tire wear on my front tires only, limited to the inside 2 inches of the tread. Rest of the tire still has great tread left, inside is worn almost through to the steel radial. I have the Pro Kit drop, but only like 1.4 inch drop. Running 235s on a 17x7 rim. Have had no excess wear on the rear at all, very good in fact. Any guesses as to the problem?? Is it the camber? I wouldn't think it would be that localized a wear. Or would something with the rotors being changed and the hub coming off and then back on have done something?? Any help appreciated.

yeah, the toe is probably in on your alignment.

mine started wearing for like 2 weeks AFTER i hadmy ingallls camber kit and i was freakin out. Then i looked at the tires when i parked, and one was straight, but the other was completely facing out like a few inches. It also pulled like a mother fucker. Does yours pull one way or the other?

Anyway, every time you mess with the suspension you need to get an alignment.

Alignment, but it also doesn't help to have 235's on there too. Those are really wide for our cars.

If its not alignment make sure you arn't overinflated in the front. That would cause the localization also.

if you feel pull while accelerating thats just torque steer.

i know that, but when you are on the freeway and put it in neutral and let go of the wheel and you go 2 lanes right in about 2 seconds it's not torque steer thats how bad mine was.

Thanks for the info guys. Thought that might be it. The guys who installed the rotors apparently were banging the hell out of the old rotors to get them off. Figured it would screw something.
I don't notice much of a pull either way though if I release the wheel while driving. Just very slight if anything.

Go to firestone, unlimited wheel alignments for life of ur car. $140 at any location, when i got it, have seen it go as low as $120

that wasn't what caused it. Any time you remove the springs/struts, the alignment needs to be checked.

That lifetime thing is ok if your keeping your cl for more than 2-3 years, but once you get a new car they won't align it. Just a one time alignment should be around $50 and it will stay perfect for like 2 years unless you change the suspension again or hit a curb.

Also alignment shops HATE LOWED CARS! So you'll probably have to try more than one shop to get a decent price.

It comes with tire balacing and rotating every 6000 miles also. Yeah they don't do it if u have a camber kit. So for mild drops like ones with a prokit or stock it is not a bad deal but u gotta keep ur car for like 2-3 years to really make it worth it, but I am sure some peeps here will be here a while.
